The New Yorker & Strange Horizons

I’m slightly behind on this update, because the post was published while I was out of town and last week was full of intense class-prep, but: my essay “Salad Days at Chuck E. Cheese,” about the birth and (possible) twilight of the weird-ass children’s party chain, is up at The New Yorker.

More recently, my story “Inventory” took third place in the Strange Horizons 2013 Readers’ Poll. Congrats to all of the other winners!
